Here are just a few of mine: I use Audacity to record, and Auphonic to clean up the recording by removing background noise and adjusting the volume levels. Auphonic offers a free version for up to 2 hours a month, with a pay-as-you-go option for additional time. For transcripts, I use Descript, which also has a free version. It allows you to edit your podcast like a Word document and is very user-friendly.
